A courtroom drama comes to a theatre near you on 15 November. Tenali Ramakrishna BA BL, as the title suggests, promises to be both a comedy and a legal thriller. Starring Sundeep Kishan and Hansika in the lead, the cast also has Varalaxmi Sarathkumar who seems to revel in roles with shades of grey. 

The trailer suggests being inspired by Jolly LLB as Sundeep plays a small-time advocate who takes up cases that are pending in court for long. And just like Akshay Kumar, he also rides a scooter. The humour is good (for instance, he gives 50 per cent discount on some cases and his friend says even South India Shopping Mall does not have so many offers) and that is bound to bring the early audience into the theatres.

An earlier remake of Jolly LLB – Sapthagiri LLB – sank without a trace.
