It would seem nothing is spared to ensure Andhra Pradesh is changing. Changing colours, that is. After the diktat to paint all gram panchayat offices in specific colours (read YSR Congress colours), all 11000-odd offices got a fresh coat of paint. Among them is the village secretariat office in Tamedepalli in Amarapuram block of Anantapur district.
The Telugu Desam took the government to task. Tweeting a video of the painters at work, TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh asked : “What next? Replacing our national anthem and Telugu Talli song with party songs? Downright disgusting!!”
Former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu condemned the disrespect shown to the national tricolour and asked the Jaganmohan Reddy government to apologise. BJP president Kanna Lakshmi Narayana also called it an insult to the national flag.
